In less than twelve hours we sail. The crew is bubbling with excitement. I am ready for this. After dinner tonight we gathered as a crew for a celebration. Afterwards, I hiked up to the top of the vessel, above the bridge to overlook the city one last time, and to pray. This was a picture that I took. If you follow the massive wind generators down the port to the horizon, the last one marks the opening to the North Sea. Tomorrow we will row, row, row our boat, gently down the stream, turn right just pass the final propeller, and we’ll be on our way to Africa!

Hey Scott!
It had been awhile since I checked your blog...it was a busy week here, but not nearly as interesting as your week! You will never regret this journey. I am so proud of your courage and convictions. We speak of you almost daily at dinner. Hope your ears are ringing telling you that you're in our thoughts.
Love you,
Aunt Susie
